A range of resources are available about Matariki including a booklet, calendars or Maramataka and a resource pack for teachers or Māori language clubs.

Te Whakarite Kaupapa mō Matariki – Making Plans for Matariki (2005)

Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori is publishing a new booklet as a basic guide to Matariki – its origins, its significance and the opportunities it presents or everybody to participate.

It is also an invitation to use your own resources to find out more about Matariki and to think of ways to celebrate that are relevant or special to you and your family.

This booklet was published in 2001 by Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori to provide information and ideas about Matariki and how to identify and celebrate it in contemporary Aotearoa. It is now available as a download only, as the hard copy version is now out of print.
