A range of resources are available about Matariki including a booklet, calendars or
Maramataka and a resource pack for teachers or Māori language clubs.
Te Whakarite Kaupapa mō Matariki – Making Plans for Matariki (2005)
Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori is publishing a new booklet as a basic guide
to Matariki – its origins, its significance and the opportunities it presents
or everybody to participate.
It is also an invitation to use your own resources to find out more about
Matariki and to think of ways to celebrate that are relevant or special to you
and your family.
