Recognition of Māori Language
5 Effect of recognition
---Nothing in section 3 or section 4 of this
Act shall---
(a) Affect any right that any person has, otherwise than by virtue of that section, to receive or impart any communication in Māori;
or
(b) Affect the right of any other linguistic community in New Zealandto use the language of that community.
