Certificates of Competency

16 Qualifications for certificates of competency

16. Qualifications for certificates of competency---For the purposes of determining whether or not an applicant for a certificate of competency in the Māori language is qualified to hold such a certificate, the Commission shall prepare, and publish in such manner as it thinks fit, criteria by which competence in the interpretation or translation of the Māori language is to be assessed.
